Born and raised in Tampa, FL, Mackenzie began playing piano at the age of 4 and started writing songs at just 5. She earned her B.M. in composition/theory from Vanderbilt University's Blair School of Music and can be seen playing her original folk/pop tunes at venues such as Googie's above the Living Room, Rockwood Music Hall, Caffe Vivaldi, The Bowery Electric, and Little Notes. She is also a member of the Bitter End's Songwriters Sessions.
Mackenzie currently lives in New York City, and she recently worked as the composer and musician for The Immediate Family's Perceval, which ran at New York's 2013 Fringe Festival.
A proud member of SAG-AFTRA , Mackenzie also works in TV and film and has appeared most recently in Law and Order: SVU. She began modeling in London at the age of 14 and landed her fist gig as the "Girl in White" in Phil Collins' music video "Strangers Like Me."
